Why doesnt it work (computer)?
I just recently bought an new DVD+R drive for my computer (Sony DRU-202A) Because my old one stopped reading discs Once I installed it, I rebooted my computer but my computer didn’t detect the drive. I searched the control panel under device management to see if it was there and it was there. I clicked on its properties and it had a message saying this, “Windows cannot load the device driver for this hardware. The driver may be corrupted or missing. (Code 39)” I have the software disc that came with it but I cant install it because of course my computer doesn’t detect the cd drive. Can anybody help me out?
By the way my Operating system is Windows Vista Basic
I searched in the sony website and they didn’t have it then i searched on google and had no luck the CD’s name is “Sony Software Disc Rev. 8.50W”
Get the cd copied to somebody else’s computer and carry the contents in a usb drive to ur computer. Install it then. This is the easiest way, i can think of, dear.
